From the kitchen to an online storefront

For a home baker, selling online should leave more time for baking. Batch52 brings a website, orders, payments and business tools together in one platform for home bakers and cottage food businesses.

Each baker gets a storefront of their own: a place for their products, their personality and a simple way for customers to order. But a storefront also needs to be easy to discover and recognise elsewhere in the product. That is where Allscreenshots comes in.

The real website, in miniature

Batch52 sends each baker’s storefront URL to the Allscreenshots API and uses the resulting screenshot as a preview image across the platform.

On the homepage, visitors can browse examples and get a feel for the businesses using Batch52. In the baker dashboard, the same kind of preview helps bakers recognise their own storefront as soon as they log in.

A generic thumbnail can tell you that a website exists. A screenshot shows you what makes that website theirs: its colours, products and design.

A product feature, without another system to maintain

Taking a screenshot is easy to describe. Making it a dependable part of a product brings more work: managing browsers, waiting for pages to load, handling retries and dealing with rendering edge cases.

Batch52 could build that system itself. Instead, it uses Allscreenshots to handle screenshot generation. The team sends a URL and gets back the image it needs, keeping the preview feature lightweight and leaving more time for the tools its bakers rely on.

More bakers. More previews. The same integration.

As more bakers join Batch52 and create websites, the number of previews grows too. Screenshot generation stays with Allscreenshots, so Batch52 does not need to run a browser fleet of its own as usage increases.

For a small team, that is one less system to look after. For the bakers, it means their actual businesses are visible throughout the platform. We are happy to play a small part in helping those businesses look good and be easier to discover.
