Short answers, with links to the relevant support articles.
How do I take a screenshot without writing code?
Sign in to the dashboard, choose your organization, and open Screenshots → Playground. Enter a full public URL, choose the viewport and format, then capture the page.
Read the related articleWhich value should I use as my API key?
Use the full key shown when you create it. The name and short identifier shown later in the dashboard are not the API key. If you lost the full value, create a replacement.
Read the related articleWhy does a site look different from my own browser?
Viewport size, device emulation, consent, authentication, location, and page-load timing can all change the result. Start with the exact URL in a signed-out browser and compare matching viewports.
Read the related articleHow do I capture the entire page?
Enable fullPage. Use stitch mode for scroll-triggered or lazy-loaded content, and compare native mode if needed. Full-page capture still has height and section limits.
Read the related articleCan you capture every site protected by a CAPTCHA?
No. Stealth mode can help with some automated-access restrictions, but a site can still refuse access. TARGET_BLOCKED means a challenge or block remained.
Read the related articleWhy am I getting HTTP 429?
HTTP 429 with RATE_LIMITED concerns request frequency; reduce concurrency and respect Retry-After. A QUOTA_EXCEEDED response is a separate HTTP 402 error about available screenshot allowance and credits.
Read the related articleAre failed captures charged?
Paid plans count successful captures. Free-tier failed attempts can count toward usage. A completed image with an unwanted layout is still a capture; a visual comparison that detects a change also uses a capture credit.
Read the related articleDo free credits renew every month?
The Free plan begins with a one-time screenshot allowance. Paid plans have a monthly included allowance. Check the organization’s usage and credits in the dashboard for its current balance.
Read the related articleWhere can I find invoices or cancel my subscription?
Select the billing organization and open Billing in the dashboard. Some actions require an owner or administrator. Review the effective date and confirmation shown for any subscription change.
Read the related articleCan I capture localhost or a site inside a VPN?
Private-network, loopback, link-local, and metadata destinations are blocked. A capture target needs to be reachable from the capture service and pass URL validation.
Read the related articleHow long can I keep a screenshot download link?
Check the result’s expiresAt metadata and the relevant retention settings. Download files you need to keep before they expire; different capture workflows can have different retention behavior.
Read the related articleDoes a visual test need a base URL?
Only when navigation uses relative paths. Full URLs can navigate to different public sites. A relative path always uses the selected environment’s base URL, even after a step visits another site.
Read the related articleWhat should I include in a support email?
Include your account email, organization, target URL, request or capture ID, UTC timestamp, capture options, and expected versus actual behavior. Remove API keys, passwords, cookies, and other secrets first.
Read the related articleCan I request a feature or report a documentation issue?
Yes. Email [email protected] with the feature or documentation page, what you were trying to do, and the behavior or information you need.
