Capture staging or authenticated pages

Understand public reachability and supported session-based capture options.

Publicly reachable staging URLs

A staging site can be captured if it is reachable from the capture service and its URL passes validation. A domain name alone is not enough: DNS, certificates, access restrictions, and redirects must also permit the request.

Local and private-network targets

localhost, loopback, private-network, link-local, and cloud-metadata destinations are blocked. A URL available only through your VPN or inside your network cannot be treated as a public capture target. Do not disable access controls on a sensitive site just to obtain a screenshot.

Authenticated content

Use documented session options or authorized page actions where appropriate. For browser-extension captures, review the explicit site permissions before sharing a session. A session is sensitive data; do not send it in a support email or assume it will remain valid indefinitely.
