Only successful captures are billed
Paid Allscreenshots plans now count successful captures only. If a capture fails because the page cannot be reached, the render times out, or the request does not produce a screenshot, it will not use your paid monthly screenshot allowance.
What changed
- Paid plans count completed captures only
- Failed captures no longer reduce your paid monthly allowance
- Usage reporting now reflects the captures that actually produced results
- Free tier still counts failed attempts to protect the service from repeated automated retries
Why this matters
Screenshot automation often runs against third-party websites you do not control. Pages can be temporarily unavailable, protected by anti-bot rules, or slow to load. With successful-only billing on paid plans, you can retry those jobs without paying for captures that did not return a result.
This applies across the capture surfaces that use your monthly screenshot allowance, including sync screenshots, async jobs, bulk captures, scheduled screenshots, and composition captures.
Free monthly screenshots are still available for testing all features, but free-tier failed attempts continue to count toward the monthly allowance.
